SAFETY RULES OF PAINTBALL

At Drop Zone Extreme Sports Paintball Park safety comes first.

1)  Before you go onto any field your mask must be on.  Do not remove your mask at anytime while you are on the playing field.  You can not remove your mask until you are standing in the safety area.  We will give you one warning for this and you will sit out your next game.

2)  The only time that your barrel sleeve should be off is when you are actually playing a game.  At all other times your barrel sleeve must be on.  We will give you one warning for this and you will sit out your next game.

If you do not follow the first 2 rules (keeping your mask and your barrel sleeve on when necessary), you will be eliminated from play and / or removed from the playing field / Park at our discretion for the rest of the day without a refund.  This also pertains to any other action you may take that any DZES Member feels is unsafe.

4)  When you are out on the field playing, use common sense.  Watch out for trees, rocks, thorny bushes, poison ivy, snakes, and whatever else lives in the woods. Please do not climb the trees or attempt to jump off any structure (use the stairs provided).

5)  No real weapons allowed.  No knives or anything of the nature.  If you have watches, wallets, cell phones, or any thing else of personal value we suggest that you leave them in your car.  Please remember NOT to lock your keys in your car or lose them on the field.

6)  No fighting or horseplay with other players.  If two people are messing around out on the field there is a potential for a mask to get knocked off and for someone to get hurt.

7) No alcohol drinking or other things that will impair your judgment before or during play at our Paintball facilities, ever.

 8)  No blind firing. Blind firing is when you stick your marker out of a bunker and shoot without looking.  We ask you not to do this because you don’t know what is on the other side of that bunker.  You have to be able to see what you are firing at.

HOW WE PLAY

Hit:  Any time a paintball hits and breaks on you or anything that you are carrying, it is considered a hit and you will be eliminated for that game.  When you get hit, yell “HIT!” as loud as you can and hold your gun above your head.  You must then put your barrel sleeve on and exit the field.  Remember it is generally better to walk down the side of a field than it is to walk across a field.

Paintcheck:  If a paintball hits you and does not break, this is called a “bounce”.  You are still a live player.  If you get hit and you can't see if the paintball broke or not (on your back, etc.), call for a “paintcheck”.  The referee will come over and call “player eliminated” if the ball broke, or “player’s clean” if the ball did not.  Make sure that when you call “paintcheck” you stay inside you bunker, don’t stand up in the middle of the field.  Remember you are not allowed to advance on a player that has called for a “paintcheck” until the referee calls that player “clean”.  If a paintball hits and breaks on an object near you and the paint sprays on you, this is called “splatter”, it does not count as a hit.  Remember the ball has to hit you and break to be considered a hit.

The last 2 rules are safety and courtesy rules.

DO NOT SHOOT PEOPLE WITHIN 20 FEET!
If you are within 20 feet of another player, ask that player to surrender.  If they do not surrender and get up to run or turn to shoot at you go ahead and shoot them, as long as they are at least 10 feet away.  They will surrender next time. This rule allows players to give one another a choice to surrender in certain situations.

DO NOT SHOOT PEOPLE WITH IN 10 FEET OR CLOSER!

If you are within 10 feet of another player, you must tell them to “surrender”.  At that point they do not have a choice, but to put their barrel sleeve on (call themselves “hit”) and walk off the field.  If they turn and shoot you anyway, DO NOT SHOOT THEM BACK.  Let your referee know, they will call that player out and give them a warning.  If you are trying to sneak up on another person (you become within 10 feet of them) and they turn around and yell “surrender” then you are eliminated.  If two people are within 10 feet and yell surrender at the same time they are both out.  If you break this rule at anytime, you will be asked to leave our Park immediately (with out a refund).  We do not allow “bunkering” for recreation play, at any time.

If you should encounter any kind of problem while you are at DZES Paintball Park please bring it to the attention of your referee and/or the Park Manager.

Also, please be courteous enough to pick up after yourself and throw your trash away.

Players w/ their own equipment:

CHRONO & BPS: You must chronograph your gun at 280 fps (feet per second) or lower!  If your gun is electronic it must be in semi-automatic mode only (this means it must fire one time for every trigger pull) and the ROF (rate of fire) will be capped at 10 bps (balls per second).  No full auto, burst modes, or turbo modes, will be allowed on the recreation fields.

OPEN HOPPER & GRAVITY HOPPER:  We will also be running 2 recreation groups.  1 group is rental players and gravity hoppers only.  The 2nd is for players with electric hoppers.  Players with electric hoppers are prohibited from joining the gravity hopper group.

PAINT:  Our facility is still a B.Y.O.P. facility, only for players with their own equipment.

However, we will NOT BE ALLOWING: Monster Ball, Visible Impact, Liberty Paintballs, or DZ’s Retail “Cheap Paint” at our facility due to staining and/or safety concerns.  All other off field paintballs are subject to inspection at the Park and may not be allowed due to staining and safety concerns

We are a barrel sleeve only facility, if you do not have one you need to purchase one from us.

Rental Players:

PAINTBALLS:  If you are using our rental equipment, you are not allowed to use paintballs other than the ones you purchase from our Park.  If you are found using off field paint (paintballs that were not purchased from our Park) you will be eliminated from play for that game, the paint will be disposed, of and you will receive a warning.  The 2nd offense is termination of play for the rest of the day.  Remember, do not pick up paint off the ground.

RENTAL EQUIPMENT:  If you are using DZES rental equipment then you are responsible for keeping track of it.  Do not leave it on a table and walk away.  If you lose any of it you or your group leader will be charged accordingly.  If you are using our rental equipment, do not disassemble any of it – this includes taking the CO2 tank off.
